Dear Parents/Guardians:
Thanks for considering Earth Kidz Early Learning Centre for your child(ren).
If you’d like to add your child to our waitlist, please note that the following steps are mandatory:
1. Register with the City of Ottawa’s Child Care Registry and Waitlist, OneHSN system. You can register by calling 311 or go to www.ottawa.ca/daycare.
2. Register by filling the Centre’s Registration Form below.
Once a space becomes available for your child, you will be contacted and given the Enrolment information.
There is no charge or any obligations to place a child’s name on the waitlist.
When space becomes available in the program, the following criteria are used in determining who gets the next space:
– Which age group has the space
– Child’s age
– Priorities (e.g., current student’s sibling/cousin, reference, etc.)
– Whether or not the program can meet the needs of the child and family
– Date of application received/confirmed
– Other factors *
*The centre reserves the right, at its discretion, to change and modify the Waiting List Policy and Procedures, in the event of any conflict between this policy and procedures and any applicable legislation or orders or directives issued by the Minister of Education or City of Ottawa, Ministry of Health or Ottawa Public Health, the legislation, order or directive prevails.
Offering an Available Space
Refer to: Parent’s Handbook Page 34, Waiting List Policy and Procedures
1. To efficiently organize the waiting list and minimize parents’ waiting time, multiple families of children on the waiting list who meet the applicable criteria and have similar rankings may be notified simultaneously via telephone and/or email when a space becomes available in their requested program.
2. Parents will be given a 24-hour timeframe to confirm the space by completing the center’s Enrollment Process, which includes submitting required paperwork and making the initial payment (Deposit). In the event that multiple families are offered the space, the family that completes the Enrollment Process first will be confirmed for the space.
3. If a parent fails to complete the Enrollment Process within the 24-hour timeframe, they will be considered as no longer in need of a space. The supervisor or designated staff member will then release the space to the next child on the waiting list.
After submitting your registration form, you will receive an automatic email to confirm we have received your application. (Please check your junk mail as well)
